Masaka, Uganda – February 8th, 2025 – The annual St. Bakhita Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about human trafficking and honoring the resilience of survivors, was commemorated with a powerful event in Masaka. Organized by the St. Bakhita Anti-Human Trafficking Network Uganda, Mwagale Foundation, and Masaka Diocese, the celebration brought together a diverse group of individuals committed to combating this modern-day slavery. The event, held in Villa Maria Bwanda, witnessed the participation of religious leaders from various denominations, demonstrating a united front against human trafficking.
